HC Alkaloid returns with three points from the derby in Kavadarci, a crucuial game in the battle for entry into European competitions next season.
The match in Kavadarci started in favor of HC Alkaloid, as they netted four consecutive goals. Despite their strong start and three defensive plays by Trajkoski, however, they allowed Tikvesh to equalize at 6-6. Our team then went to score three consecutive goals taking a 6-9 lead, which extended to 9-12. Tikvesh then managed to turn the tide in their favor with a 5-1 run before halftime, leading 14-13.

The second half turned into a true test of nerves as each team outplayed the other. Alkaloid mostly held a one-goal advantage, and by the 40th minute, they were up 21-23, prompting the rival to call a timeout. Our team played exceptionally well in the following period, pushing the lead to 25-21 and then 26-22, effectively squashing the home team’s hopes for a comeback.
